Details: The Good:This car has only had 2 owners. It was in the same family since new then sold to me in 2000. The car has been very reliable and never let me down. It has never left me stranded. It currently has 211,893.00 miles on it.The body is in decent shape for its age. There are a few dents/scratches but the car has never been in a major accident, only minor parking lot accidents. The interior is also in decent shape and everything inside the car works.Replaced within the last 1.5years (8,000 miles):• Air filter• Spark plugs• Spark plug wires• Transmission fluid• Oil/Filter (every 3-4k miles)This would be a great car for someone that wants reliable/efficient transportation for cheap and doesn´t mind putting a little bit of work into the car. With a couple hundred dollars and a few hours someone could make this car last another 10 years and 100,000 miles.The Bad:The clutch needs replacing ASAP and the car is currently very hard to get into gear. It was parked as soon as the clutch started getting bad to prevent further damage. With the right driver (someone that has been driving a manual for a long time) the car can make it home but it needs a new clutch ASAP. The transmission pops out of 5th gear while on the freeway. Sentras are known for this and this is a normal issue for one with this many miles. The car drives fine on the freeway in 4th gear but it just doesn´t get as good of mileage, the older Sentras actually had a 4spd with the same exact ratios and the 5th gear was added later. The timing chain guides are worn and could use replacing. From what I have heard/read, Nissan used plastic timing chain guides with a metal chain, so the guides wear out before the chain. All it does is cause the engine to make a ticking sound so you should be able to drive the car for a long time like this without problems. If it it annoys you, It looks like you can replace the guides relatively easily through an access panel on the timing chain cover.The valve cover gasket is leaking some oil, nothing major. If you don´t fix it you might have to add a quart or 2 of oil between changes.I am asking $650.00 or best offer. Please email with inquiries or interests. Because of a blown head gasket the motor was replaced with a lower mileage unit a little over a year ago. I have reciepts for this motor. Tranny and clutch work great and are quiet. Tires are good (80%). Ran great when parked. Back driver side door has dent but operates completely fine. Car is a tank.The Bad:Both airbags blew spontaneously and cracked the windshield.
