Details: Selling my extremely rare, economical, practical and versatile antique station wagon.1984 Datsun-Nissan Maxima Wagon.This was the 50 the anniversary edition for Datsun and a crossover year to the Nissan brand name here in America.This was the ONLY year that Nissan and Datsun brand names were both on the back of the car! Here is what it´s got:Inline 2.8L 6 cylinder motor.Automatic transmission. (Console shift).RWDJust turned 163k this week. Being driven a couple of days a week.These motors are well know for a guaranteed 200k, and most will get you 250-300k with reasonable maintenance and care.This thing has more options than many modern day cars and they all work!Power sunroof, power mirrors, power windows, power door locks, power antennae, power fuel door release.Working digital clock with settings for elapsed drive time and more.Factory AM/FM Cassette stereo with iPod adapter included. (Still sounds very good).Power steering, cruise control and tilt steering wheel.Heat and A/C.Rear defogger and rear wiper.Fold down split rear seats.Roof rack.Chrome Spoked wheel covers.All 4 factory mud flaps are still intact too.This car even talks to you. (First talking car in America!). Very advanced technology for 1984, but also simple to work on. You will not see many of these on the road. There was very limited U.S. production. However parts are easy to come by for the motor, transmission etc. because the same motor was used in Maxima´s for 20+ years of production.Recent repairs include:Brand new factory heater core.New oil send switch.4 new tires 3 months ago.Changed oil filter, oil, air filter, distributor cap, rotor and wires.Rear hatch lift supports replaced.This car does not leak any fluids of any type. Goes straight down the road at 60-70mph without any struggle. Doesn´t pull or sway. No rattles, nice suspension and steering.There is not one rip or tear in the interior and all door panels and the dash panel are in perfect condition.It is so versatile. You can put surfboards, kayaks, bikes etc on the roof rack. Or put down the rear seats and there is plenty of room for all sorts of cargo.It does all this while getting 20mpg city and 23mpg highway.Also extremely inexpensive to insure. (I pay $300 per year now, and it would be less if registered as an antique car).This is such a conversation starter. Not many people have ever seen one of these.
