But your best bet is to use this for all the low miles parts.There is quite a story to this car.For those that are interested in the story. A few years after 1985 the front of the car was backed into by a tractor. The front clip was replaced with a slightly used front clip off a donor car. The engine, transmission and all accessories are the original. Before the car was finished it was placed in a barn, somewhere before 1997. My friend bought the car sometime around 2004 for $2k without a title. He trailered it up from NC to WI. He let it sit for years under a car cover before giving it to me for money owed, again without a title. I put the car in my garage around 2007 and have been tinkering with it for years. Since I´ve owned it I have replaced many parts. When I received it it would not even start or roll. It now starts (a little rough) and drives a bit. I haven´t had it over 30mph due to the fact it has no hood, bumper cover or Title.For those not interested in the story:It starts, accelerates a bit rough, but idles great. I think it just needs to get driven.Tracks straight down the road at 30mph.What I have done to it:Replaced the completely dry rotten tires with decent used tires.Replaced the front brakes, most parts were sandblasted and painted with black caliper paint.The rear brakes were gone through also, not painted though.5 of the injectors were professionally cleaned(taken off and ultrasonically cleaned) One was replaced.Rubber fuel lines were replaced, gas tank was steam cleaned (there was some varnish in the bottom from sitting)New cap, rotor, wires, and NGK plugs.Replaced the ECU, the old one for some reason was missing.Purchased a air cleaner box and air filter.Checked on condition of timing belt, looked great.Bought a new electric radiator fan, not attached yet.Clutch bled, oil changed, transmission fluid changed, rear diff fluid changed. brakes bled, coolant flushed.Doesn´t leak a drop of anything, just drove it out of the garage last weekend and not a drop under it, it´s been in there for a few years now.Most rubber coolant lines replaced, cap and t-stat also.Most rubber vacuum lines replaced, there are still a couple bad ones (that may be the rough acceleration issue)I started hitting the paint with a clay bar, at some point in it´s life it got hit with some paint overspray. There is a bit left on some of the trim.Cleaned the interior, and started replacing minor items missing or not working.I easily have well over a thousand dollars into fixing it so far.What it needs yet:The hood, I do have the hood scoop, just not the hood itself.There are still a few pieces missing on the front end to be able to fasten the bumper cover back on, last I checked Schmidt´s had a couple 300zx´s with donor parts. I just didn´t have the right tools to get the parts when I stopped out there a few months ago.The driver side headlight doesn´t fit right, someone oval´d out the holes to be able to get it close. Not sure why it doesn´t fit. The headlight cover is also a bit damaged. There are a few on eBay.There are a few misc items on the car that are just not quite right but overall it´s in fantastic shape for it´s age.
