Details: By owner sale. $1000 OBO (within reason!). This car has some obvious cosmetic wear, but is a reliable and mechanically well-maintained vehicle that runs great. No issues with Motor, Transmission, or power train. Heat and AC is also about the best I´ve ever seen. (I wish my other newer vehicles blew cold as fast as this one does!) All exterior lighting, wipers and accessories work, as does the JVC radio, though the rear speakers are long gone. Tires vary from worn to almost new, and the spare is good. ALL known mechanical issues are listed here: (1) passenger side wheel bearing should be changed (I have the brand new part which you´re welcome to have) (2) The front brake rotors are a little warped. (3) Gas gauge is intermittent. It will sometimes read correctly, and other times pin at full, and finally (4) The battery is new, but is slightly undersized (there´s no need for the manufacturer´s recommended ´cold cranking´ amps in Florida). Honestly, that´s it! All other issues are pretty much cosmetic, including some minor dents and the expected wear on the interior mostly caused by the Florida sun. This has been our ´workhorse´ car for a long time. It is only being sold because we need a pickup truck for our second vehicle, which we now have (another older Nissan! : -) Bottom line, you just won´t find many ´thousand dollar cars´ with this short a list (and this honest a list) of mechanical issues. Details: I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima I´m looking to get rid of. Need a newer car for my newborn son. There are some pros and cons to this car:PROS: Power windows/locks/seatsBOSE stereo system with 8 inch sub woofer Lumbar adjuster for driver seat 3.0 V6 Engine Oil changes regularly SunroofAuto adjustable mirrors CONS: Tear on driver seat where you get in and out155k miles New York car/ some rust Radiator leaks somewhere not sure where but you can smell itRadiator support is rusted pretty bad, new one costs about $250.00 Rust on wheel wells Stalls every once in awhile (typical problem for this year model) Passenger window has a problem going down on occasion (my car got broken into while in my garage and when I got it fixed the guy never returned my phone calls to fix the problem with he window after they replaced it. That´s under police investigation.) I am looking to get rid of this car as soon as I can so I can get a newer car with more safety features for my newborn son. I love this car!
